Referendum Posting - Legal Notice

Notice is hereby given that at the consolidated election on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, the following proposition will be submitted to the voters of the Wilmington Community School District 209U, Will County, Illinois: "Shall the members of the board of education of Wilmington Community Unit School District 209U be elected at large rather than by school board district?"

  1. if the majority of the people voting in each school board district vote in favor of the proposition, then the proposition will have been deemed passed; and
  2. if a majority of those voting at the election in each school board district vote in favor of the proposition new members of the board shall be elected at large at the next regular school election.

The  polls will be open at 6:00 a.m. and continue to be open until 7:00 p.m. on that day.  

Food Service News

As of September 1, all meals will be free to all students until the end of the school year. Boxed lunches will be available to remote learning students. The packaged meals will be the same as the district menu.

If you are in need of a remote learning meal, you may only pick up for your student.  All students/guardians must email the Food Services Department by 8:00 a.m. to place an order for meals. This must be done on a daily basis.

Pick up for remote learning meals will be at the front doors of Wilmington High School from noon to 1:00 p.m. daily. There is no charge for meals until the end of the school year.
